Device compatibility and simultaneous connections are different questions. A subscription can be compatible with several device types while still allowing only the number of simultaneous streams included with the purchased plan.
Compatible devices
This describes where the subscription can be configured: for example a Smart TV, Fire TV device, Android TV box, phone or computer.
Simultaneous connections
This describes how many streams may be used at the same time. The allowance is a property of the subscription plan, not a property of the device.
Before using multiple devices at once
Confirm your connection allowance with support before running the same subscription simultaneously on more devices than the plan supports.
If you only want to move the subscription from one compatible device to another, use the relevant device guide. For plan questions, contact support before ordering.
Common multi-device scenarios
| Situation | What matters |
|---|---|
| TV in the living room, phone used later | Both devices can be compatible even if only one stream is used at a time. |
| Two TVs streaming at the same time | The subscription needs enough simultaneous connections for both active streams. |
| Replacing an old TV with a new device | Check player compatibility and whether the access details can be moved or reconfigured. |
Questions to confirm before ordering
- How many streams do you need at the same time?
- Which devices will actually be used?
- Does the plan describe connections, devices, or both?
- Do you need help moving the setup to a replacement device?
These questions prevent a compatibility answer from being mistaken for a simultaneous-stream allowance.
